Kyndle to celebrate Manufacturing Month in October

Kyndle will recognize October being Manufacturing Month by organizing a set of tours of local industries for technical students as well as recognizing industries at its 2018 Industry Appreciation Luncheon.

Manufacturing Month and Manufacturing Day, which is October 5, addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t. By working together, manufacturers will begin to address the skilled labor shortage they face, connect with future generations, take charge of the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the whole industry.
“There is a high demand for skilled professionals in the manufacturing sector,” Kyndle CEO Tony Iriti said. Manufacturing Month provides numerous opportunities to show our local students the endless possibilities of modern manufacturing.”

To familiarize them with career opportunities in local industry, select students at the Henderson County High School, Webster County High School and Union County High School will tour the following companies during the month of October:

Audubon Metals
Allstate Tank & Tower
Big Rivers Electric Corp.
Hercules Manufacturing
Huff Technologies
Pittsburg Tank & Tower
Pioneer Plastics
Shamrock Technologies

Meanwhile, the Kyndle Industry Appreciation Luncheon will take place at the Preston Arts Center on November 2 at 11:30am.

The keynote speaker will be Rick Dauch, President and CEO of Accuride Corporation. Dauch will discuss the Accuride approach to expanding globally but still keeping a focus on thinking locally. Presenting sponsor for the event is Accuride Corporation.

The cost of the luncheon is $20 for Kyndle stakeholders and $25 for others. For reservations, contact Kyndle at info@kyndle.us or 270-826-7505.
