CLAY, Ky. (November 13, 2025) – A bridge on Kentucky 132 in Webster County was temporarily closed pending repairs last night after failing a routine annual inspection. The bridge, located at the 5.4 mile point, west of Kentucky 493 outside of Clay, is expected to reopen to traffic in 2-3 weeks.
An inspection of the bridge’s substructure discovered significant deterioration to a wooden timber piling that has developed since the bridge was last inspected in 2024.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet personnel are scheduled to begin repairs on the bridge today. The damaged piling, along with 2-3 other wooden pilings, will be encased in concrete.
Around 200 vehicles use this roadway per day.
