KSP NEWS RELEASE
(Murray, KY) – The Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle injury collision on October 29, 2015 at approximately 10:54 A.M. The two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of KY 1346 and US 641
Preliminary investigation shows Valerie Yeager, 34 of Benton, KY, operating a 2004 Ford F150 pick-up. Yeager was traveling westbound across US 641 in an attempt to make a left turn onto US 641, when she failed to yield the right of way to Dwayne Cavitt, 62 of Benton, KY. Cavitt was operating a 2002 Ford Ranger, traveling northbound on US 641.
Yeager was transported by a private vehicle to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, sustained during the collision. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Calloway County Emergency Management, Calloway County Fire-Rescue Department and Murray Calloway County EMS. Senior Trooper Jody Cash is continuing the collision investigation.
