KSP: Sturgis man airlifted to hospital after wreck in Lyon County

A Sturgis man is listed in stable condition after police say his vehicle crashed into a guardrail and a tree.

33 year old Dustin Stalion was driving southbound on State Route 93 south near Eddyville around 5:30 Sunday evening when state police say he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a guardrail. KSP says the vehicle then continued down into a ravine and crashed into a tree, coming to rest approximately 300 feet off the road.

Stalion was flown to Deaconess Hospital for treatment.

KSP was assisted at the scene by the Eddyville and Kuttawa Fire Departments, Lyon County EMS, Lyon County Rescue and Air Evac Lifeteam.

KSP is continuing to investigate the wreck.
