Kentucky State Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a Webster County man accused of reporting a false emergency.
KSP said they are looking for Bobby Wayne Sample, 32, of Webster County, due to his involvement in a 911 incident that occurred on Nov. 19, according to a news release.
A call to Webster County Central Dispatch 911 reported that someone was involved in a UTV accident and was pinned underneath it.
This call triggered an emergency response from over 20 agencies from surrounding counties. In doing this, emergency equipment was utilized in the attempt to locate the caller, over a 24-hour period.
Sample is currently wanted by the agency for issuing a false report that generated an emergency response.
According to investigators, Sample has known ties to Webster, Hopkins, Crittenden, Caldwell, Henderson, and McLean Counties in Kentucky.
Sample is described as a white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5’10” and weighs 175 pounds
