KSP Searching for Missing Owensboro Pilot

Kentucky State Police and Civil Air Patrol are searching for a missing Owensboro airplane and pilot.

According to KSP, 70 year old Robert C. Dalzall Jr. left the Owensboro Regional Airport around 9:10 a.m. Monday and successfully landed at Falls of Rough airport in Grayson County around 9:45 a.m. Monday. Authorities say Dalzall then departed from Falls of Rough airport around 11:20 a.m. Monday and never returned to the Owensboro airport.

Troopers indicate his last cell phone activity ping was at 11:32 a.m. Monday and was within five miles of the Falls of Rough airport in Grayson County.

KSP describes the pilot as a white male, 5’05”, 175 pounds with grey hair and hazel eyes. Dalzall was piloting a 2012 green Aero Criquet Bogota fixed wing plane with the tail number N429BB.

Police say Civil Air Patrol currently has two airplanes searching from Owensboro to Falls of Rough. Kentucky State Police is asking all those who live, work, farm or hunt around Falls of Rough to be extra vigilant.
