KSP: Search Warrant Leads To Drug Arrests

Earlington, KY (Hopkins County) – The Kentucky State Police arrested a Hopkins County woman and a Christian County man for drug-related offenses after executing a search warrant.

According to state police, a trooper initiated a traffic stop on a moving violation around 10:35 Saturday morning Saturday on KY813 in Mortons Gap. Police say enough information was obtained that a search warrant was granted on the residence of Brandon L. Brewer in Hopkins County. At approximately 1:00 pm several troopers, the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, and Madisonville Police Department executed the search warrant and found five ounces of crystal methamphetamine, 2 hand guns, and drug paraphernalia.

KSP arrested and charged 36 year old April Corbitt, of Earlington, and 30 year old Brandon L. Brewer, of Hopkinsville for Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (> or = 2 grams Methamphetamine), Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana.

Both individuals were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
