HENDERSON, KY. (Aug. 4, 2016) –Henderson County native Blake Crews was murdered on January 17, 2015. In an effort to enhance and elicit new leads, KSP has developed a short YouTube video highlighting the main points of the open case.

UPDATE: 9/23/15
The Crews’ family have increased the reward money for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder of their son, Blake Crews. This reward, in conjunction with the Henderson County Crime Stoppers reward, brings the total up to $15,000.
KSP detectives are still actively pursuing leads in this case but we respectfully request assistance from the public. We encourage anyone with knowledge of this case to contact Kentucky State Police Post 16 at 270.826.3312 or anonymously 800-222-5555.

Two others have turned themselves in to authorities today in connection to the Crew’s Murder Investigation.
1) James Luke Eblen, 20 of Henderson.
Charged: Trafficking Marijuana (less than 8 ounces) 1st Off; Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
2) Jonathan Poole, 27 of Henderson.
Charged: Failure of person to report the death of a person (B-misdemeanor).
Both are lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.

Two more local men were arrested this afternoon in connection to the Crew’s Murder Investigation.
1) Garrett Eblen, 25 of Henderson.
Charged: Failure of person to report the death of a person (B-misdemeanor).
2) Dominick A. Dixon, 22 of Henderson.
Charged: Failure of person to report the death of a person (B-misdemeanor).
Both are lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.

Below is a list of suspects who have been arrested. They are currently lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center:
1) Andrew N. Jaco, 24, of Henderson.
Charged: Failure of person to report the death of a person (B-misdemeanor) and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
2) Cory L. Pederson, 25, of Henderson.
Charged: Failure of person to report the death of a person (B-misdemeanor); Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia (firearm enhanced) .
3) Jacob McLaughlin, 21, of Henderson.
Charged: Possession of synthetic drugs (marijuana) and drug paraphernalia.
4) Sean P. Barnett, 20, Henderson.
Charged: Failure of person to report the death of a person (B-misdemeanor).

On Saturday, January 17th, 2015, Troopers with the Kentucky State Police Post 16, headquartered in Henderson County, responded to a burglary in progress call at 528 Fairmont Avenue in Henderson. Upon arrival, Troopers found Blake G. Crews inside of the residence. Crews had been shot several times in the face and was deceased when the troopers arrived. Crews was not a resident of 528 Fairmont Avenue. Anyone with information concerning this homicide investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 270-831-1111. A REWARD of up to $1000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest & indictment of those responsible. All calls are confidential.

The autopsy of the victim was completed today in Louisville. He is identified as 20 year-old Blake G. Crews of Henderson. He died of multiple gunshot wounds to the face.
