Bremen, KY (Muhlenberg County) – The Kentucky State Police investigated an injury collision, involving an ATV, that occurred on Fairview Road in Bremen, on Tuesday, December 29, at 3:24 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Freddie Wilkins, 57, Central City, was operating a 2004 Polaris Sportsman ATV (4-wheeler) northbound on Fairview when he lost control of it. The ATV exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a ditch. It overturned, causing Mr. Wilkins to be ejected. The ATV came to rest on its side in the ditch.
Mr. Wilkins, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported via ambulance to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment.
Trooper First Class Craig Engler investigated the collision. The Bremen Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
