Princeton, Ky. (Caldwell County) – On Monday, November 22, 2021, at approximately 7:55 P.M. the Kentucky State Police Post 2, Madisonville was requested by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department to investigate a shooting at 860 Coleman Crider Road.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Ursula Hamlet had sustained a single gunshot wound to her neck. Caldwell County Coroner, Dewayne Trafford, pronounced Ms. Hamlet deceased at the scene. Through the investigation it was determined that Hamlet’s boyfriend, Tommy Dunning, had shot Ms. Hamlet during an altercation.
Tommy W. Dunning, 39, or Princeton was charged with Murder- domestic violence and lodged in the Caldwell County Detention Center.
The investigation continues by Detective Hunter Carroll.
