A Hopkins County juvenile was airlifted to an Evansville hospital after police say another juvenile was handling a firearm when it discharged.
Kentucky State Police are currently investigating the shooting that occurred around 9:00 this morning at a residence on Farmers Crossing Road in White Plains.
According to state police, a preliminary investigation revealed that two juveniles were at the residence when one of them was handling a firearm and it discharged, striking one of the juveniles. The juvenile was flown from the scene and transported to St. Mary’s in Evansville, IN for treatment.
