Kentucky State Police Post 7 in Richmond is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred on Arthur Jackson Road just before 1:52 pm this afternoon.
KSP reports a Madison County Deputy was shot during the exchange of gunfire and has been transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The alleged shooter has been pronounced deceased at the scene by the Madison County Coroner.
