Police say a Hanson woman is behind bars after she was arrested on DUI and drug charges during a traffic stop in Providence.
According to Kentucky State Police, 40 year old Tina Townsend was pulled over on KY 670 for speeding and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance, and the trooper smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a search of Townsend’s vehicle, police reportedly found suspected methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia commonly used with marijuana and meth.
Townsend was lodged in the Webster County Detention Center for her second offense of possession of a controlled substance – meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle under the influence – aggravating circumstances, speeding, and two other offenses.
