KSP: Henderson man arrested on warrant and multiple charges

Kentucky State Police Post 16 and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Henderson man last night at a traffic safety checkpoint on an active warrant and multiple charges.

According to KSP, 27 year old Darrell Hayes, of Henderson, came through the checkpoint at US41S & KY 136 in Henderson County around 11:20 p.m. Saturday where authorities discovered he had an active warrant for his arrest. Upon approaching Hayes, police report he attempted to flee from the Trooper and Deputies but was apprehended after a foot pursuit where he was arrested.

Hayes was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for Fleeing or Evading Police Officer on Foot 2nd Deg, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Deg 1st Offence Methamphetamine, Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs-1st Off, Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Poss, Failure To Produce Insurance Card.
