HENDERSON, KY – (Sept. 21, 2016) — Detective Aaron Pryor, a seven year veteran with the Kentucky State Police, Post 16 in Henderson, was recognized by Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky as a Champion for Children during the 20th annual Kids Are Worth It! Conference. Pryor is the recipient of the 8th annual law enforcement award given by Kentucky’s premier statewide child abuse and neglect prevention organization.
Detective Pryor has successfully investigated and charged over forty counts of crimes involving children ranging from infants to 15 years old. He is an active participant in the Multi-Disciplinary meetings in the six counties covered by Post 16 and his casework was described by one Commonwealth Attorney as “…the most thorough case work I have seen.”
“There are several factors essential in making a good detective. Detective Pryor has exemplified those essential traits and further enhanced that standard. It is truly humbling to witness a fantastic detective be recognized for his hard work and sincere dedication to being the voice of young victims” said Captain Robert Shoultz, Commander of Post 16-Henderson.
Detective Pryor’s achievements were recognized on Monday, September 12th in Louisville, Kentucky with Secretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet John Tilley, and Commissioner Richard Sanders of the Kentucky State Police present.
