KSP arrests Morganfield woman for possessing meth and other offenses

A Morganfield woman arrested earlier this year and indicted by the grand jury in July for several counts of trafficking meth is back behind bars facing additional drug possession charges.

According to Kentucky State Police, after Morganfield Dispatch gave out an attempt to locate a Ford Windstar for reckless driving, a state trooper saw the vehicle on KY 2091 driving in the middle of the road. The trooper initiated a traffic stop around 6:05 Tuesday night and says the driver, 33 year old Amy Bumgarner, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Upon further investigation, state police reports Bumgarner was taken into custody and lodged in the Union County Detention Center for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Drug Paraphernalia and Open Alcohol Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, No Brake Lights and Failure to Produce Insurance Card.

As reported by WMSK News on June 4th, Bumgarner was indicted in July of this year by the Union County Grand Jury for several counts of trafficking meth, possession of meth after she was arrested along with another Morganfield resident June 4, 2015 during the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Uniontown.
