MADISONVILLE, Ky. (January 16, 2024) — Kentucky State Police have arrested a Madisonville man on charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Henry Winston Strader, 46, of Madisonville, was charged with one count of first-degree official misconduct and one count of distribution of obscene matters to minors. Both charges are Class-A misdemeanors and punishable by up to 12 months in jail.
Strader was also charged with 10 counts of procuring a minor by electronic means and one count of possession of matter portraying a matter portraying the sex performance by a minor. These are Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Strader on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024. He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $10,000 bond.
He was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect using electronic devices to procure a minor online.
The investigation resulted in search warrants at two different locations in Madisonville on January 12, 2024. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
