BREMEN, Ky. Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision at a train crossing that killed a Providence woman Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 4:42 p.m. Thursday, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department requested KSP Post 2 investigate a fatal collision on Kentucky 70 about eight miles east of Madisonville.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Roxana Allison, 37, of Providence, was operating a white Cadilac Escalade traveling westbound on Kentucky 70. The Cadilac collided with a P&L train as it crossed over Kentucky 70 traveling east.
The Muhlenberg County Coroner pronounced Roxana Allison dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing by Accident Reconstructionist Patrick Penrod. KSP was assisted on scene by the Muhlenberg Sheriff’s Office, EMS, Fire and Rescue, Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office, Highway Department, P&L personnel, and Kentucky Department of Transportation.
