RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Some Kentucky National Guard soldiers are deploying to the Middle East.
The National Guard says soldiers with the 149th Military Engagement Team will leave Saturday morning from Richmond. They will finish training at Fort Hood, Texas, before deploying overseas.
The guard says the 149th is being sent to promote cooperation and regional security and stability with partner nations.
