Illinois coroner plans autopsy after fatal mobile home fire

HARRISBURG, Ill. (AP) — Authorities in southern Illinois say an autopsy is scheduled to find out the identity of a woman pulled from a burning mobile home in Harrisburg.

The Evansville Courier and Press reports (http://bit.ly/1RNRvo4 ) that the Saline County coroner plans the autopsy Monday evening. Saline County Coroner Jerry Watson says the woman was the only person in the mobile home when it caught fire early Saturday.

Watson says the victim’s identity and an official cause of death should be released after the autopsy. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. The newspaper reports that firefighters who responded found flames and smoke pouring from the structure.

Harrisburg is about 60 miles west of Evansville, Indiana.
