HPD: Henderson woman cited for 2nd DUI after wreck

A Henderson woman was cited to court for her second DUI after a traffic accident Monday morning.

According to a report released today (Wednesday) by the Henderson Police Department, officers responded to the scene of the wreck in the 400 block of North Main Street around 11:55 a.m. Monday where 40 year old Amy Yancey, of Henderson, stated she hit a parked vehicle. Police indicate the collision impacted a total of three parked vehicles that were unoccupied.

Authorities report Yancey and her passenger, 13 year old Alexis Yancy of Espanolo, New Mexico, were transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the 40 year old woman was cited to court for her second DUI due to her requiring medical treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.
