HPD: Henderson man charged with robbery

A Henderson man has been charged in connection to a robbery that occurred at a South Adams Street residence last month.

According to Henderson Police, 24 year old Marcus Bailey was arrested around 10:15 Friday morning first degree robbery in connection to a robbery that occurred on February 25, 2016 at a residence on South Adams Street.

Police say the victim stated that he was home alone when Bailey and two other men entered his home and wanted to borrow a Xbox game and then began to assault him. The men reportedly stole his mother’s income tax return money and the victim was punched repeatedly until he lost consciousness. Police indicate the victim recognized all three of them and his mother identified them as they ran from the home when she arrived.

Henderson Police indicate this is still an open investigation with charges pending. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Shannon Troutman of HPD at (270) 831-1295.
