HPD: Disturbance call lands Henderson man behind bars for assault, resisting arrest

A reported disturbance call led to the arrest of a Henderson man for several charges, including resisting arrest and assault.

Around 11:30 Tuesday morning, officers responded to 2nd and North Green Street for a disturbance being caused by 38 year old David Batts, who Henderson Police say was told to leave the property and not return. However, police say Batts refused to leave and after being told repeatedly he was arrested for third degree criminal trespassing. According to police, Batts resisted arrest by swinging at the officers, spit on one of the officers and then head butted him while shouting racial obscenities.

Batts was booked into the Henderson County Detention Center for the above mentioned charges as well as second degree disorderly conducted.
