The Henderson Police Department will be conducting the Spring 2016 Citizen’s Academy beginning March 15, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. The eight-week course will be held each Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Henderson Police Department, 1990 Barret Court, Henderson, KY, 42420. Informative, hands-on classes will include a tour of the department and 911 Center, basic patrol operations, mock traffic stops, crime scene processing/fingerprinting, investigations techniques, specialized units demonstrations, firearms safety, virtual training on a Firearms Training Simulator, and a tour of the Henderson County Detention Center. There will also be a Saturday field trip to the Firing Range. Classes will conclude on May 3rd, 2016, with a graduation dinner and discussion.
