A Henderson man has been charged with assault and burglary.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to State Street in Spottsville around 2:30 Wednesday morning where the victims, James Horn and Amy Short, told officers that 42 year old Justin Kirtz had forced his way into Horn’s garage and assaulted them. Upon a further investigation, authorities say Kirtz also broke into Short’s residence prior to going to Horn’s residence.
Kirtz was reportedly located a short time later at his residence on North Partridge Road in Henderson where he was taken into custody and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for Burglary 2nd Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree and Assault 4th Degree (Minor Injury).
