A Henderson man was airlifted to an Evansville hospital after a motorcycle crash on US 60 in Crittenden County around 4:40 p.m. Friday.

Kentucky State Police reports a preliminary investigation revealed 60 year old Stoney Knight was driving a 2000 Harley Davidson westbound when near the 15 mile marker on US 60 he lost control of his motorcycle in a curve, went off the roadway and was ejected.

Knight, who police say was not wearing a helmet, was transported by helicopter to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for treatment.

The Mattoon Volunteer Fire Department, Crittenden County EMS and Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department assisted KSP at the scene.
