A Henderson couple has been charged with a theft that occurred at Wal-Mart on South Ingram Street in January.
According to Henderson Police, officers took a report at Wal-Mart on January 8, 2016 where a man attempted to push a cart full of merchandise out of the grocery door without paying. Asset Protection employees grabbed the cart and the man fled out the door and left in a red car. Authorities say officers recognized the suspect in the security footage and later located the red car at a Mexican restaurant in Henderson. Police say 43 year old Robert Stone and 40 year old Deana Dixon, both of Henderson, admitted to being in the vehicle, but not stealing any items and gave several conflicting statements about their participation in the shoplifting.
On July 30, 2016, police report Dixon and Stone were served with warrants for Theft by Unlawful Taking $500 or more but under $10,000 (shoplifting) and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
