Henderson authorities searching for escaped inmate from Ohio

Authorities are searching for an escaped inmate last spotted in the Camaro Drive area in Henderson.

Henderson Police Department said it and other agencies are doing a thorough search around the area of Camaro Drive for Bradley Gillespie.

At 3:16 a.m. Wednesday, the Henderson Police Department observed a stolen vehicle believed to be occupied by two escaped inmates out of Ohio. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and it attempted to flee.

Officers pursued the vehicle until it wrecked on Camaro Drive. Police said two occupants fled on foot.

Police arrested James Marion Lee. The other suspect, Gillespie, has not been apprehended.

Gillespie, 50, is described as 6′ tall, and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and appeared to have a bald head.

Police said that as of Wednesday morning, they still had a perimeter set up in the area of Camaro Drive and are actively searching for Gillespie.

Police encourage the community to remain vigilant, keep their doors locked and to call 911 if they have any information about Gillespie’s location.
