Henderson Area Arts Alliance Announces 26th Season of Events at Sold Out Sneak Preview Event

(May 14, 2019 – Henderson  Ky) The Henderson Area Arts Alliance announced the 2019-20 season of events at a special Sneak Preview event on Monday. Fulfilling the arts organization’s mission to provide quality arts experience to all, the selections include a range of musical performers, a Tony-award winning musical, award-winning dance troupe, and a famed Chicago comedy touring group.

Season tickets and options for flexible Pick 3 ticket packages are on sale now for current season ticket holders. New season ticket package sales begin June 17. Single tickets will go on sale July 8 at haaa.org.

We encourage our patrons to renew or purchase tickets early to ensure they have the best seats at the best discount. Imagine marrying the 21st century party vibe of Miley Cyrus or the minimalist angst of Radiohead with the crackly warmth of a vintage 78 or the plunger-muted barrelhouse howl of a forgotten Kansas City jazzman. 

The Second City’s Greatest Hits

The Second City opened its doors on a snowy Chicago night in December of 1959, and a comedy revolution began. We’re excited to welcome the renowned improv comedy group to the Preston Arts Center stage again!

The Color Purple, The Musical

This 2016 Tony award-winner, based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Alice Walker, follows the journey of Celie, an African-American woman in the American South from the early to mid-20th century. 

During Monday’s event David Dixon and Donald Wathen were both awarded HAAA’s 2019 Outstanding Service Award, and the following organizations were presented with grants from HAAA:
