Help Union Co. Happy Packs Win a $5,000 Grant, Vote for Essay in Shelter Insurance Contest

Local residents can help the Union County Happy Packs win $5,000 again this year through the Shelter Insurance Essay Contest and all you have to do is vote.

Julie Zehr of Shelter Insurance is asking for everyone to please vote in the essay contest entitled “Thankful for Our Communities”.

Right now, she says there are four essays submitted and Shelter Insurance in Morganfield needs to place in the top five.

As you may recall, last year Union County Happy Packs won $5,000 through the Shelter Insurance contest with an essay written by Julie Sprague, founder and chairperson of the non-profit organization.

As far as votes for this year’s essay contest, Zehr says Union County is lagging behind.

So please, place your vote to help the Union County Happy Packs organization win a $5,000 grant by voting for Rebecca Logan’s essay “Sheltering the Storm.” And remember, you are helping provide funding to feed the children here in the county who otherwise may go hungry over the weekend, spring and summer break, or holidays.

Again, all you have to do is visit the Julie Zehr Shelter Insurance Facebook page and click on the link Shelter Insurance Thankful for Our Communities and then click on the Vote For This Essay. I will also share a link later today on WMSK’s Facebook page.
