A traffic stop landed a Henderson man in jail charged with possessing heroin.
Around 1:00 Tuesday morning, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office reports a deputy pulled over a vehicle that was swerving in and out of its lane and changed lanes twice without using a signal. During the investigation, the deputy reportedly detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Authorities say a search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of suspected heroin along with drug paraphernalia associated with the intravenous use of the drug.
According to the sheriff’s office, a passenger in the vehicle, 21 year old Jamison E. Allen was arrested and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for first degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (Heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.
