HCSO: Barn collapse injures Henderson man

A 62 year old Henderson man was injured this morning when a barn collapsed on him.

William A. Turner of Lamont Lane, of Henderson, was tearing down the barn located on Highway 351 in Hebbardsville around 11:30 Thursday morning when authorities say it collapsed on him from the waist down. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department indicates Turner was pulled out from under the barn by two other people that were on the scene. He was transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital after complaining of pain to his left leg.

According to the sheriff’s office, wet and muddy conditions hampered the rescue effort and caused some emergency vehicles to get stuck, but authorities say a local farmer was able to pull the vehicles out with his tractor.
