GRADD 2019 Legislative Breakfast – “Conversation Leads to Community Improvement”

The public is invited to attend a Regional Legislative Breakfast hosted by the Green River Area Development District (GRADD) on Saturday, February 2, 2019.

This free event will be held at the GRADD Office (300 GRADD Way, Owensboro). Breakfast will be served at 9:00 a.m. and will be followed at 9:30 a.m. by a forum with state legislators who represent the seven-county region in Frankfort. Senators C.B. Embry, Robby Mills, and Matt Castlen, as well as Representatives Jim Gooch, Suzanne Miles, Dean Schamore, Jim Glenn, Rob Wiederstein, and Scott Lewis have been invited.

The event will provide an opportunity for citizens to meet with their legislators and to participate in a discussion of important issues facing the GRADD region and the Commonwealth of Kentucky during the 2019 General Assembly.

Additionally, the forum will be broadcast live through the GRADD Facebook page.

“With the on-going pension reform and opioid issues, the 2019 general assembly has been tasked to handle many major issues,” said Judge/Executive David Johnston, GRADD Board Chairman. “I’m glad that GRADD can provide a dialogue between its legislators and constituents, to find the best solutions for these and other issues the Commonwealth is tackling.”
