Four juveniles have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting in Evansville that killed a Henderson teen last month.
Evansville Police Department said that four juveniles have been arrested and charged in reference to a shooting investigation in the 1700 block of Marshall Avenue in Evansville that occurred on Nov. 26.
Officers were dispatched to Marshall Avenue just after 5:30 a.m. Nov. 26 in reference to shots fired in the area. Multiple 911 callers reported hearing shots in the area.
Officers arrived and found three people who had been shot. All three victims were taken to area hospitals, but one of the victims did not survive his injuries.
The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased victim as Josiah Madrid, 17, of Henderson.
Evansville Police said four juveniles face charges of murder, attempted robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. Police said it will be determined at a later date whether the juveniles will be tried as adults.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
