The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy Food Service department recently donated several food items to the Union County Senior Services. With the continued absence of students, the center was able to donate several pantry stock food items. “We do not want food to be wasted and are very happy the Sr. Citizens Center staff can utilize these supplies to provide for those in our community,” stated Center Director Amanda Curry.
Union County Sr. Center Director Melissa Polites and staff were ready for the delivery with distribution plans. “We are very appreciative that Job corps considered us a resource for this donation. We are in preparation to produce meals for the freezer for our seniors to have on extended weekends. This delivery is ten times what we thought,” shared Ms. Polites.
