DEACONESS TO CONTINUE TO REQUIRE FACE MASKS

EVANSVILLE – To protect vulnerable patients receiving care in our hospitals and clinics, Deaconess will continue to require face masks within our facilities until further notice. This policy is in alignment with the state mask advisory, as well as the position of the Indiana Hospital Association.

“While other businesses are operating under certain ‘reopening’ guidelines, we are different. We’re a health care organization,” said Dr. JoAnn Wood, Chief Medical Officer, Deaconess.  “People who are already ill or otherwise compromised are inside our buildings at all times, and we have been entrusted by our patients and their loved ones to keep them safe.”

More information about visitation and mask policies is available at deaconess.com/visitors.
