DCSO: Man arrested in Owensboro motel charged with trafficking drugs

A man arrested at an Owensboro motel Monday night was charged with drug trafficking and other offenses.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies and Owensboro Police Officers responded to Days Inn on New Hartford Road around 9:45 p.m. Monday after they received information a man wanted by police, 32 year old Adam Carter, was staying there. After deputies made contact with Carter inside the hotel room, they say he surrendered to authorities without incident. Authorities reportedly found and seized a large amount of marijuana inside the room along with a large amount of cash.

After Carter’s arrest, the sheriff’s office reports he was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center for Trafficking Marijuana (8 ounces to 5 pounds), Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
