Daytime Work Zone with One Lane Traffic on KY 56 Green River Bridge at Sebree on TUE, March 5th

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a daytime work zone lane restriction on the KY 56 Green River Bridge at Seberee on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

This work zone lane restrction on the KY 50 Green River Bridge at the Webster-McLean County Line is to allow use of a UBIV- an under bridge inspection vehicle to conduct a detailed inspection of the bridge structure.

This work zone lane restricton with alternating flow controlled by flaggers is expected to be in place from about 9:00 a.m., to about 2:00 p.m., CT, on March 5th, weather permitting.

The KY 56 Green River Bridge, also known as the Corporal James B. Gresham Community Bridge, opened to traffic in 1969. The plate girder structure is along KY 56/Sebree-Beech Grove Road at the Webster-McLean County line just east of the Interstate 69/KY 56 Exit 134 Sebree Interchange. The bridge is at KY 56 Webster County mile point 14.671 and McLean County mile point 0.0. The bridge is at Green River navigation mile point 43.6.

Approximately 2,000 vehicles cross the KY 56 Green River Bridge at Sebree on an average day.

Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
