Details have not been released by the local sheriff’s office, but Union County Coroner Steven Shouse has confirmed to WMSK News that a preliminary investigation showed a husband and wife found in a home near the Boxville community died as the result of a homicide/suicide. During our telephone conversation, Mr. Shouse reiterated the results are preliminary.

According to emergency traffic on Tuesday, emergency personnel responded a residence in the 11-hundred block of SR 963 around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday after the couple was found by a family member.

WMSK News is withholding the names of the husband and wife until we receive an official news release from the sheriff’s office or Coroner Shouse.

Coroner Shouse told WMSK News Tuesday afternoon that autopsies are scheduled today on the bodies of the Union County couple.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this case.

WMSK News will provide more details when the information is released by local authorities.
