LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Lexington Police are trying to figure out who killed a man who was found dead inside a truck in East Lexington.
Media outlets report the body of 33-year-old Barry Slaven of Harrodsburg was found Tuesday afternoon inside a Penske box truck. Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn says Slaven had been shot, but he’s not sure yet if that is the cause of death. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday.
Ginn says the death is being investigated as a homicide.
Slaven’s family tells media that he had been missing since Sunday, and that they had filed a missing persons’ report with police.
