Completion Date for U.S. 60 in Henderson County Extended Through Monday, Nov. 22

Excavation efforts were more extensive than originally anticipated

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Nov. 19, 2021) –  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet notifies the public of an extension for the culvert replacement on U.S. 60 in Henderson County. Completion of this effort has been pushed to Monday, November 22. The work will carry through Monday, with completion set for late afternoon.

Crews began the process of replacing the 19′ culvert on Monday, November 15. Early in the process, it was determined additional time would be required for  excavation efforts.

The replacement culvert is approximately 19′ in width and 40′ in length. Upon completion, drivers will notice a wider shoulder along this section. The work zone is located at mile point 21.8. 

Message boards have been placed in Henderson near U.S. 41 and in Owensboro near the GRADD office alerting trucks to detour via the Audubon Parkway. 

Motorists can take KY 811 to Mudd Road to U.S. 60. The detour for vehicles will be signed and is approximately a mile and a half in length. Trucks are encouraged to access the Audubon Parkway.
