Due to the forecast of heavy rain the next couple of days, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has postponed a planned closure of KY 654 in Crittenden County scheduled for today and Tuesday.
KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd says the forecast is calling for widespread rain on Tuesday with up to 4 inches of localized accumulation possible through Wednesday, so the base repair project will be rescheduled at a later date when weather conditions improve.
A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet had planned on closing a section of KY 654 today and Tuesday to allow base repair work at the Tribune Creek Bridge followed by paving. But again, due to inclement weather, all work has been postponed.
