Crittenden County Judge-Executive Perry Newcom has announced that Hurricane Road (CR 1406) in Northern Crittenden County will close beginning Monday August 22, 2016.
The closure is to allow a culvert that carries a tributary to Caney Fork Creek to be replaced. This closure of Hurricane Road is about 4/10ths of a mile south of KY 135 near the Hurricane Church Campground.
The roadway at this site is expected to remain closed through about Friday, August26th.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is providing $35,000 in Emergency Road Aid Funds to assist the Crittenden County Fiscal Court with replacement of the culvert.
