Spring cleanup for Uniontown’s residents will begin next week. City officials say the spring cleanup will be held from May 9, 2016 through May 14, 2016.
Tri-County Waste will collect large items such as televisions, microwaves, business or office equipment, mattresses and other furniture.
City officials say state law prohibits Tri-County Waste from picking up the following items:
Refrigerators
Air Conditioners
Freezers
Washing Machines and Dryers
Furnace Units
Tires
Batteries
Any Liquid Waste (paint, paint thinner, gasoline, oil, etc.)
And yard waste, like grass, leaves, brush, etc., cannot be disposed of with other household waste.
Items made of steel, tires and batteries may be taken to the Union County Road Department Garage at any time.
Uniontown officials indicate a large dumpster will be placed on the end of Main Street, and items must be placed inside the dumpster from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hours for Saturday, May 14, 2016 are 7:00 a.m. until Noon.
