Authorities have released a few more details regarding the arrest of a Saline County, Illinois man charged with murder in the disappearance of his estranged wife.
New information released by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office indicates 56 year old Brian Burns of Harrisburg, IL shot 49 year old Carla Burns on March 8, 2016 and then tried to conceal her death by burning her body and spreading her ashes.
Burns was arrested by the sheriff’s office Wednesday morning around 7:45 and charged with first degree murder and concealment of homicidal death. He is lodged in the Saline County Detention Center on a 1-million dollar cash bond.
