AUDUBON/PENNYRILE Parkway Interchange at HENDERSON Ramp Closures Starting TONIGHT

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans another round of ramp closures at The Audubon Parkway/Pennyrile Parkway Interchange at Henderson starting TONIGHT.

The westbound Audubon Parkway ramp to southbound Pennyrile Parkway will close promptly at 7 p.m., CDT, TONIGHT.

The northbound Pennyrile Parkway ramp to the eastbound Audubon Parkway will also close at 7 p.m., TONIGHT.
The contractor has up to 21 days to complete work on these ramps as part of ongoing rehabilitation along the Audubon Parkway from mile point 0.0 to mile point 8.5 in Henderson County.
There will be a marked detour to assist motorists around these ramp closures.

The detour requires motorists to loop through the US 41/US 60 Cloverleaf at Henderson to return to make connections between the Audubon and the Pennyrile.

Motorists who regularly travel through the Audubon Pkwy/Pennyrile Pkwy Exit 77 Interchange at Henderson should be aware of these planned ramp closures and be prepared to follow the marked detour.

To help avoid safety issues created by motorists attempting to make illegal U-Turns on the Pennyrile Parkway during recent similar ramp work, KYTC personnel have blocked off crossover points along the Pennyrile near the Audubon Parkway Interchange. The Transportation Cabinet has asked for an enhanced law enforcement presence in this area.

Motorists can be cited and fined for moving or driving around traffic barricades and road closed signs.
