Elizabeth Brown (93) of Union County participated in Basketball Hotshot during the May 31, 2017, Senior Games in the Park sponsored by GRADD, BB&T, and Daviess County Parks and Recreation.
Seniors from across the GRADD region participated in Corn Hole, Football Throw, Basketball Hot Shot, Softball Pitch, Washers, and Bingo. The festivities ended with the awarding of gold, silver, and bronze medals for various age categories in each event. Ms. Brown finished the day with five gold medals.
Leslie Wilson, Community Services Manager at GRADD and coordinator of the event, said, “keeping active is vital to quality
of life for seniors and Senior Games provides a fun atmosphere for seniors of all fitness levels to be active and engaged with peers.”
