6 year old boy injured in single-vehicle wreck on Pennyrile Parkway

A 6 year old Georgia boy was injured in a single-vehicle wreck Sunday morning on the Pennyrile Parkway in Webster County.

Kentucky State Police released the report Monday afternoon stating the wreck occurred around 11:30 at the 61 mile-marker when 40 year old Jason Taylor of Gwennitt was driving a Jeep Cherokee southbound on the parkway and he lost control of the vehicle due to wet road conditions. State Police indicate the Jeep ran off the shoulder of the road into the median and crossed the northbound lanes where it struck a guardrail.

Taylor and is wife, 39 year old Leslie Taylor were not injured. However, State Police say their 6 year old son, Carson Taylor, was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health in Madisonville where he was treated and released.

According to the report, the couple was wearing their seatbelts and their son was restrained in a booster seat.
