40 Nonprofits Join Together for Giving Tuesday

Working together to improve lives, increase beauty and ensuring all people in the community have a fulfilling and enjoyable life is why 40 nonprofits serving the counties of Daviess, Hancock, Mclean, Ohio, Union, Webster, Henderson, Muhlenberg and Hopkins have partnered on Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a national day of generosity that will take place on December 1, 2020 from 12 midnight until 11:59 p.m.  At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. This is evident when you witness organizations partnering across nonprofit sectors such as the arts, environmental, health and human service.

Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. Giving Tuesday emphasizes opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection and kindness even while practicing physical distancing.  We all have gifts to give, and with social media, online giving, mail and phones, there are limitless ways to use your generosity to support others.

United Way of the Ohio Valley created this opportunity and is extremely proud to have so many organizations join together.  Our community works together for the betterment of all concerned and the leadership from these 40 organizations are a direct reflection of the community kindness and generosity.
