2022 CARDINALS CARE WINTER WARM-UP CANCELED

ST. LOUIS, Mo., January 4, 2022 – The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the cancellation of the 2022 Cardinals Care Winter Warm-up, originally scheduled for January 15-17, 2022, due to the current work stoppage.

“The Winter Warm-Up is all about the fans interacting with the players, and unfortunately the current circumstances are keeping us from planning the event as usual,” said Bill DeWitt III, President of the St. Louis Cardinals and Chairman of the Board of Cardinals Care.

“We look forward to resuming the Warm-Up next year,” said Michael Hall, Vice President Community Relations and Executive Director of Cardinals Care.

Fans who purchased tickets will automatically receive a refund to the credit card used at the time of purchase. Despite the cancellation, fans can still participate in the 2022 Cardinals Care Winter Warm-Up online 50/50 Raffle. One lucky winner will receive half of the jackpot, while the other half will fund Cardinals Care youth programs. The raffle is open now through 3 PM CT on January 17, 2022 to all persons who are located in the State of Missouri at the time of entry and are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. About Cardinals Care

Cardinals Care was established to give fans a way to team up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in our community—both on and off the baseball field.  Established in 1997, Cardinals Care has invested over $29 million to support St. Louis area children, built or renovated 25 youth ball fields in local under-resourced neighborhoods, and distributed over $15 million in grants to nonprofit organizations.  Since 2004, Cardinals Care has also orchestrated the innovative Redbird Rookies program, a free co-ed baseball/softball league for kids who otherwise might not have the opportunity to play.  In addition to providing all the uniforms, gloves, bats, balls and other equipment needed for each team, Redbird Rookies also provides extensive off-field support in the areas of health, education, mentoring and the cultural arts for each of the nearly 2,500 kids who participate in the program each year.  To learn more about all of Cardinals Care’s programs visit cardinals.com/community and follow @CardinalsCare on Twitter.
